Congratulations to Mrs. Sidney Clay for receiving the Naval Air Station Meridian Teacher Salute Award. She was presented the honor Commanding Officer Luke Davis. Mrs. Clay is an outstanding kindergarten teacher who is being recognized for her dedication to teaching, inspiring, and growing the hearts and minds of all students, especially military children. This award is given quarterly to teachers in Lauderdale County School District. Mrs. Clay is a military spouse as her husband serves in the Mississippi Air National Guard.

A special delivery is on its way to Clarkdale, Northeast, Southeast and West Lauderdale Elementary schools. Thanks to the Mississippi Children's Museum in Meridian, our young scholars will have an extra treat to take home. Click on the attached link to learn more about the playbooks.
